Ark Royal Insurance Company (ARIC) began writing Homeowners Insurance in Florida in March 2008.  The current Property Insurance Market in Florida is a volatile one and our initial and constant approach will be conservative in nature and provide a property market for the agencies and their customers for many years to come.  Agents tell us they want to build long term relationships with financially sound companies and that is ARIC’s driving philosophy.

ARIC made an early decision not to be a Florida Take-Out Company.  We want to build our organization based on great agency relationships and good conservative long term underwriting of business that is developed by that agent. This is a long term strategy, but we know it to be the best way to build a formidable company for the future.

This focus enables us to minimize reinsurance costs, to provide more financial stability to our organization and to fulfill the promise to the customer of claims satisfaction.

To complement the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund and to ensure Ark Royal will meet the promise given to our policyholders, we have purchased Excess per Risk and Private Catastrophe Reinsurance.  All of our reinsurance partners are A.M. Best rated “A” or better.
